AA seminar titled “Market Access and Branding Strategies for MSMEs in the Global Economy” was held today, 21 January 2026, at the conference room of the Bangladesh–China Friendship Exhibition Centre (Big Wave) as part of the Seminar Series of the 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF). The event was jointly organized by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC). The Secretary, Ministry of Industries, Mr. Md. Obaidur Rahman, attended the seminar as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Md. Saiful Islam, Chairman, BSCIC, was present as the Special Guest. The seminar was presided over by Mr. Mohammad Hasan Arif, Vice Chairman & Chief Executive of Export Promotion Bureau. Mr. Md. Rashedul Karim Munna, Managing Director, Creation Private Limited, presented the keynote paper. Ms. Baby Rani Karmakar, Director General, EPB; Mr. Tahmidul Islam, Chief Executive Officer, BAEKI Centre; and Mr. Hiroki Watanabe, Managing Director, Ekmattra, participated in the seminar as discussants. As the Chair of the seminar, the Vice Chairman reaffirmed EPB’s commitment to working closely with MSMEs to provide them with effective platforms for accessing international markets. He also highlighted initiatives such as the establishment of an SME Incubation Centre at EPB to offer consultancy and advisory services to MSMEs.
